Congregation B'nai Israel and St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Benicia have collaborated on an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service for more than two decades. The institutions take turns at hosting the event, and the Rabbi gives the drash, or sermon, when the service is in Benicia, and the pastor gives the sermon when the service is in Vallejo. It is always concluded with a festive array of desserts for the community to share! This year, the service will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Congregation B'nai Israel of Vallejo, 1256 Nebraska Street.
