Community Services
Common Ground
Congregation B'nai Israel is one of the founding members that helped organize Common Ground in 2013; a broad-based, non-partisan organization of diverse religious and non-profits organizations in Solano and Napa Counties working to:
Build strong relationships within and across our communities;
Equip our members with leadership and organizing skills;
Act powerfully together on concrete issues facing our communities.
Food Bank
We support the Solano / Contra Costa Food bank via donations of canned goods. We also contribute to the neighborhood food pantry Free Food station on Nebraska St, located across the street from our synagogue.
Wildlife Garden
Our California wildlife garden features an array of native plants, creating a thriving habitat that supports Bay Area native species and wildlife. This vibrant garden attracts butterflies, bees, and birds, offering a sanctuary for these essential pollinators and promoting local biodiversity.
